Welcome back dancers! We hope you’re just as excited as we are for another awesome year of learning, laughing and dancing! As we settle in to the new dance season, there is much to anticipate for the coming year.
Our first few weeks of class have been a blast! Whether our dancers are trying out a new style of dance for the first time or returning to their fav class, we’ve been having so much fun in all our classes. There are so many new and returning faces and as Thanksgiving approaches, we can’t help but to be thankful for all our dance family.
This weekend, our dancers will be participating in MOVE- The Ultimate Dance Convention. Located in Gatineau, this convention is always an excellent way for students to challenge themselves and have fun learning from different teachers. Stay tuned for photos and videos as we learn and dance together!
Another fun event coming up this month is a cardio dance workshop with Elise Sarazin! We had such a fun time dancing and sweating with Elise last year, we just had to bring her back! This workshop will run from 8:00-9:00 pm on October 23rd for dancers age 10+. The cost is $25 HST incl. We hope to see you there!
If you haven’t heard it yet, we’re going to Disney! This summer, dancers and their families are invited to travel with the studio through Dance the World Disney. The Disney Fundraising Committee has many awesome fundraisers planned for the year and have already begun their fundraising efforts! From bake sales at registration days to an on-going bottle drive at the studio, to our wicked Fun Fair, this team is working hard!
The fun fair included awesome events such as a glow dance, games, costume parade, karaoke, bouncy castles, face painting, pizza and lots of fun!
It's October first, do you know what that means? It's officially Halloween season! We'll be having our annual Halloween Dress Up week from October 24th-30th, so come dressed in your favorite costume!
Fun Dance Fact of the Month: Did you know that a WOW card is a little card with an encouraging message given to a dancer who impresses their teacher? They can be earned by having a positive attitude, working hard, showing your love of dance and in many other ways! Our first WOW cards have already been given to three hard-working girls who danced across the floor with confidence in their first contemporary class. Congrats to Ericka, Tilly and Maddie!
Until next time, welcome to the dance family!
